    WOW WOW WOW I am an avid baker myself and so glad I found your site. I must have spent an hour on it last nite. Would you be willing to share your techinque on your chocolate scrolls/lace borders? I am assuming its tempered chocolate with a steady hand?

      Hi Julie, Sorry for this rather late reply. Just found your comment here. I use chocolate that has been melted in the microwave, and whisked with a spoon until smooth. I then just turn it into a ziploc, snip off a corner and free hand some designs onto parchment paper.

    Hello Deeba,

    I love baking a lot,it’s my passion.I luv to bake cakes from scratch and once i saw ur site and i really loved it.I bake lot of cakes but still there islot much to learn.I have many questions regarding frostings .My whipped cream frosting is not as thick as i see ur pictures ,could you help me in getting a perfect whipped cream that holds up without melting.

    I stumbled upon your lovely and informative website on tastespotting and much as I would like to be a regular visitor to your site, I am encountering difficulties each time I tried going on yr site.

    The message “internet explorer cannot open this site” pops out each time and when that happens there is nothing I could do except to close the page. I find this very frustrating and was wondering are you aware of this problem. I do not have this problems with other blogs or websites.

    Currently I am in New Caledonia which is a lovely island in the Pacific and I want to congratulate you on your beautiful website and your generosity in sharing your baking skills with others.

    I am a beginner in baking.My microwave is of Elekta(Microwave Oven Model :EMO-479GC)
    It has no temperature setting.Just power setting P10, P30, P50, P80, P100.
    I find no preheat facility also.
    We were planning to buy a microwave with all settings,but suddenly got this in gift.
    Please help.
    In which power cakes can be cooked and at what temperature?
    And also how to do the preheating

    Hi Deeba,

    So Glad to come across your website. Its incredible…really.
    After spending some time in US, I developed my love for baking, maybe because of easy availability of healthy ingredients. After returning to India, I found things are not easily available here, but seeing your blog is again inspiring me to bake. I baked a few times recently but results are somehow not much satisfactory.

    I was using Amul butter, but not happy with it. I read you make your own butter. I’ll appreciate if you could share the recipe.

    Hi Deeba, I just found out about your site and found it very useful. I actually have been searching olive oil cake recepies (for moist cakes). Have you done baking using olive oil? If at all, which oil should be used (regular, virgin or extra-virgin)? Can you post some receipe if you have one?

    Awesome blog! Delicious recipes! I am glad I bumped into this.
    I know these recipes are very very #diy types, but I would love to get a hand. I am hoping to open a small bakery shop from my home (basically for my mom, who gets bored alone). We will be needing more hands than just my Mom’s, sister’s and mine. Can you please suggest me some names, housewives who cook brilliantly, or small bakery shops cooks? It would be really helpful, plus the ladies can get to meet, gossip and enjoy free quality time. Please help me.
